School Leader Lab Announces New School Leader Cohort for 2025
School Leader Lab is pleased to announce a new cohort of the highly selective DC School Leader Cohort (DC SLC). These 17 individuals join the growing SLL community, which is designed to support school leaders in creating inclusive, high-performing learning environments that foster growth and excellence for all students.
SLC is a fifteen-month, cohort-based program for principals and assistant principals that empowers leaders to honor the genius of every student by setting conditions for those they lead to thrive and creating a culture that maximizes staff and student growth and belonging. The cohort offers these leaders the opportunity to step back from their demanding daily work and reflect with peers on their collective and individual impact as leaders. During their time in the cohort, leaders will:
Understand their leadership role and its complexities.
Facilitate planning and data meetings to increase rigor and honor the genius of all students.
Use emotional intelligence and the essentials of adaptive leadership to achieve ambitious goals.
