  • ”There are a million programs on how to do instruction well. There are not that many that focus on leaders as leaders."

    — 2020 alumni member

  • “School Leader Lab created a community of people that I can go to and hone my craft as a leader and get the social-emotional support to remain in leadership and remain engaged in the work.”

    — Brandon Johnson, Principal, Social Justice School, Washington, DC

  • "I did not expect that school leadership would be this hard. School Leader Lab really is the secret sauce to becoming an exceptional leader in schools."

    — 2018 alumni member

  • “School Leader Lab encourages leaders to step outside ourselves and our comfort zone to look at the bigger lens, to get at equity, and to build strong leadership. They ask the questions and provide a space that is powerful and impactful, even in the bustle of running a school.”

    — LaKeshia Lewis, Principal, Crossroads Charter School, Kansas City

Great schools start with exceptional leaders.

In fact, school leadership is the second largest contributor (after classroom instruction) to what students learn at school. But too often, leadership development is lacking or doesn’t exist at all.

We believe that all leaders deserve space and support to grow.

Our highly successful cohort model allows us to partner with every level of school leadership: teacher leaders, assistant principals, instructional coaches, principals, chief academic officers, principal managers, and executive directors.

Together, we build brave spaces. We cultivate community. We partner with leaders to disrupt racism, inspire staff, and champion rigorous learning.
